AnnOriginally from upstate New York, Ann studied music as an undergraduate at Colgate University. She first moved to Los Angeles and worked as a singer - she sang for weddings and bar mitzvahs, performed in South Pacific and Guys and Dolls, and recorded an album for Columbia Records…but her favorite gigs were singing on soundtrack sessions for film and television.  Working on movies convinced Ann to pursue her longtime goal of filmmaking.

To pursue this goal, Ann attended the USC School of Cinema.  Ann’s first short film, Trust, won her the prestigious Women in Film Crystal Scholarship.  Her next film, The Day Before, garnered the James Bridges Scholarship Award for excellence in directing. The Day Before has screened extensively in over 20 festivals worldwide including Telluride, Palm Springs, Toronto, Paris, and New York, winning the “Best of the Fest” award, and has been featured on the PBS Series, Fine Cuts.

Ann has worked on programs for National Geographic, Discovery, A&E, and Fox Television.  In addition, she has worked as an Associate Producer for The History Channel on documentaries including The True Story of the 761st, Standing Tall at Auschwitz, Inside Opus Dei, and Heaven: Beyond the Grave.  Currently, Ann works as a Writer/Producer for the Game Show Network.

Ann received her B.A. from Colgate University and her M.F.A. from the University of Southern California School of Cinema/Television.  She still sings too – mostly with her incredible daughter, Ella.
